Hi Chirp Babies, we're on a bit of a hiatus at the moemtn since we are all pretty effin' busy this month and just haven't been able to get a new recording scheduled. Katie is going to dig into the previous recording and see if she can pull out some undiscovered gems, but editing is a long and boring process and really, how many times would you want to listen to us squak on? Actualy, I hope you do like to listen to us squak on since otherwise why are you here on the blog? Anyway, it's FOOD TIME!

This Christmas I got this book (I asked for an XBOX):

I received this voicemail on my phone yesterday night. I have a Las Vegas number and I have learned from experience that I should always let numbers that I don't recognize but have a Las Vegas area code go to the voicemail. This one is... extremely confusing. Even if I were the intended recipient, I don't think I would know what the hell to do with it...

I really like to think about the usage of the words in the last phrase. "...as wire brushes" the object, versus "...as wire brushes" the action of the wire brushing. The latter is totally creepy. WHY WOULD YOU END A VOICEMAIL LIKE THIS???

I know this opportunity in Detroit is a good fit for the bulk of the Chirp audience so I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who saw it.

guess what...they compensated me for it! Well, I still have a couple 
coupons left over but it's one per household. It's not a handout or anything silly
like that, they just love hearing what you've got to say about stuff 
*you already talk about*. I highly recommend it, a couple minutes for two hundred to
five hundred
 bucks? I'd do it ten times a day if I could. Instead, why don't you check out their

I have been seeing these appeals from Jimmy Wales on Wikipedia since I spend a lot of time on Wikipedia instead of doing things that I need to do like find a job. I tell myself that I'm learning things even though I know as well as everyone else that this is just the a form of internet masturbation where you pretend you're learning things by listening to science podcasts on NPR and reading articles on Wikipedia even though you are just really killing time while last night's shows get uploaded to Hulu. Do I really need to know anything more about Mussolini? Probably not, but that's a bad example anyway since I'm working on some weird stuff here in Michigan right now. But I definitely don't need to know anything more about traction control systems. Or pig farming. Or football games from the fifties.
